I am intrested in human emotions and their expression through images, patterns, and colours. Like colours, we often have names for our most known and familiar emotions: joy, sadness, anger, and love. However, the spectrum of the emotions we experience is more comprehensive and often without names or definitions. This collection is an attempt to depict the lost or invisible moments and feelings.
Lilo
” (Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows; from “lifelong” and “lie low”), meaning “a friendship that can lie dormant for years only to pick right back up instantly, as if no time had passed since you last saw each other”.
Red, as a conduit for love, anger, life, and death, provides the entire spectrum of human existence. The transformative power of light adds yet another layer of nuance, encouraging a dynamic dialogue between the observer and the painting.
